Pink Ribbons Project & DEFINE!

Elizabeth Whitehead was born in Miami, Florida, but grew up living between New York and Texas. She’s the perfect combination of a New Yorker with a softer side. Elizabeth graduated from Rice University with a quadruple major in Political Science, Economics, Policy Studies and Managerial Studies. She has been a competitive athlete her entire life; as a child she was a gymnast and at the age of 15 she began to race triathlons and has been racing ever since.  Read more of Elizabeth’s Interview by clicking HERE

DEFINE : What is your connection to The Pink Ribbons Project?

ELIZABETH:  Breast cancer has taken friends, mothers, sisters, aunts and grandmothers. It does not discriminate by how much you are loved or the life you have lived. The best cure against breast cancer is early detection. The Pink Ribbons project believes that:

Awareness and early detection of breast cancer will save lives.
– Screening and diagnostic testing for breast cancer should be made available to everyone.
– All persons touched by breast cancer should have access to medical treatment.
