We offer engaging instruction and food demonstration with a focus on the preparation of delicious, sustainable, and seasonal food. Our facility, located at our West University location, is a clean and efficient, well-designed residential kitchen with a professional atmosphere, fully-equipped with stainless steel appliances, white subway tile, and marble counter tops. We can accommodate up to 30 people per class.

Spring Farmer’s Market Tour and Cooking Class with Chef Stephanie Hoban



Back again by popular demand, DEFINE food’s chef Erin Stewart is leading a tour of the Urban Harvest Farmer’s Market to share some of her seasonal favorites from our local farmers. Breathe new life into your daily meals by incorporating the freshest food the spring season has to offer and get to know who your go-to’s are at the market. Afterwards, meet up in the DEFINE foods kitchen for a cooking demo on how to incorporate these delicious ingredients into your weekday meals.

RipeStephanie Hoban, founder and owner of Ripe, will be joining Erin! Hoban is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian, holds a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from New York University and a MS in Nutrition from Texas Women’s University. She also received her culinary training from the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts in New York City.

Hoban started appearing at Urban Harvest Farmers’ Markets in late April of 2013 as the Ripe ‘pop up cafe’ serving a locally and seasonally inspired, fully plant-based menu and since then has expanded to offer catering and private chef services as well. Join DEFINE to learn about nourishing foods and heart-healthy wine pairings this season. Co-owner and natural foods chef Erin Stewart will lead a fun and fresh cooking demo teaching you cooking techniques and tips with foods that both warm and heal the heart with levels of flavor that will surprise you. While DEFINE instructor and wine judge Morgan Bellows will discuss the cardiovascular benefits and heart-healthy attributes of red wine consumption and explain how food + wine take the dining experience to a whole new level.  Erin and Morgan hope to shed light on indulging HEART-healthfully by pairing a few of their favorites for you!
